Caught on Tape Rosemont Illinois Police Taser Then Choke Handcuffed Man

April 26, 2010 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- A Park Ridge man is suing the Rosemont Police Department and several officers claiming he was attacked and tasered.


The attorney for 21-year-old Andrew Krieger obtained police surveillance video from the incident last April.

Krieger says he was waiting in the parking lot of the police station for his brother.. When an officer pulled him out of a vehicle in tasered him.

Krieger's attorney says video from inside the police station shows his client being choked while he was handcuffed to a bench.

Krieger was charged with resisting a police officer and battery but those charges were dropped.

A spokesperson for the village of Rosemont said they couldn't comment on the suit because they haven't seen it yet.
