@eatenbyowls get a mini hvlp too the cheap ones work good but its better for laying down lots of color, the airbrush is too small and will be real hard to get the same effect...try it out you will see..

i've always gone the old rattle can/metal flake approach. essentially doing what youre doing here but making it harder for myself haha. after this 70's style gas tank im doing now(gold base w/gold flake, candy apple green top coat with lacing and scales) i was thinking about getting an airbrush. this video just convinces me.
