As all my friends know I handle my snakes constantly and they are always out of their enclosures and quite often outdoors, but they all have one thing in common. They all have to be close to me and touching me and I'd like your input and opinions on this topic in your comments. I'm always wondering why with a ten acre yard they still always have to be near me and would be VERY interested in hearing your own personal opinions or if anyone else has noticed these same activities from any of their snakes.

  • nice! is she really protective?

  • @chamalani He is exceptionally protective and has to always be near me or touching me or on me. All he does outdoors is stand and look around next to me like you would think he's guarding us both. Even my little 6 month old female Coastal Carpet Python has already started displaying this same protective and defensive behavior standing up and looking around. She loves to curl up in my lap and stands there which is shown in my new video.

  • beautiful snake. My boa does the same thing he is young but he always with me. how old is your python. He is very heathy.

  • @MegaRedtailboa Thank You !!! Chewy, the one in this video is now three years old and ten feet long and I'm raising a female Coastal Carpet that is six months old and two feet long. Sure will be glad when she starts to show some weight instead of length but that's just how they grow.

  • I love your snake, he's is beatiful and has a nice size, I love his colors and his eyes are Peircing

  • @liamb561 Thank you sincerely :O) Chewy is a total sweetheart and never has a bad day nor never displays anything other than being a friendly, sociable animal. He wins the hearts of everyone that has met him and he's an awesome companion. He's a very active and alert and curious snake and loves being out and spending time with people.

  • @chamalani I tried to send you a message with a couple of my video links said you have contact lock on and can't send to you unless you add me as a contact. Many snake species are becoming endangered in the wild and the only way to guarantee their species survival is to keep them in captivity and breed them so they can reproduce. Humans don't have any issues with killing snakes they find in the wild and using them as a trophy.

  • @MrJazzMan88 Chewy is in a 55 gallon tall tank only because I like to give my snakes plenty of room to thermo-regulate their temps. He's 10 feet and doesn't require this much space but just my own personal preference. I will send you a link in a message :O)

  • Beautiful snakes. I would give an arm and a leg for a carpet python but don't know how big of a habitat they need. What do you keep yours in?
