My favorite JRPG of this generation so far that I've played. It actually felt like a mix of Final Fantasy and old school RPGs in general, with amazing music by Uematsu and nice story from Sakaguchi (with very memorable dream sequences that no one should skip). It's one of the few games where I actually felt some form of nostalgia while playing the game for the first time.

I'm glad to know that it wasn'y only just me who appriciates this game and its music.

Most people I speak to says the game is very poor, but I believe it's one of the most involving to the player, like you can feel the main characters 1000 years of pain of losing everyone he ever loved, deep.

@SupraDarky Bout the ONLY 2 complaints i had about it were the battles took forever later on, and there was somewhat of a lvl cap. Like you could only lvl up to a certain point before xp pretty much just stops. Other than that, a frickin awesome game!

@TheBreadfan Tactics mean nothing when the enemy can one-hit kill you (especially when he will). I wasn't even that weak, I was right where the game expected me to be, in terms of character development.

@VGKing Is that really true? I was so completely overpowered in the later game that I never considered any one piece of equipment/resistance an essential for survival. Tactics usually prevail.
