Again anyone with both vertical antennas and horizontal antennas have a chance to hear a polarity fade while talking to a station. So both polarizations are needed you will find out... I've been a Ham since age 9 and am now 60yrs old.. believe me this sounds like you have local noise getting into the antenna!!! Have a great day OM:)

Can we see pics of your antennas. I also did have that noise from a router one time, I bought a different brand router to fix that! Also a Flex5000 radio filters out noise like that static big time!!!

But wait a short time and that will change unless that is local noise near the feed line or antenna. Sounds like power line noise, or router noise. I also had noise like that from a Battery drill charger in my garage. When I did unplug the charger it went away. This was because it was radiating into the air via the power lines, horizontal!!! :) thanks for another Ham Radio Video!!! keep it up...

Greetings! I googled 40 Mtr vertical and found your document. Interesting video. Are you QRO or QRP with this antenna?
