Jim Schwab is the Cincinnati Market President for U.S. Bank. He earned degrees from The University of Cincinnati, McMicken College of Arts and Sciences, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and from the University of Michigan Law School.

Before joining U.S. Bank, Jim held high level management and finance positions with such Greater Cincinnati companies as Xtek, Inc., General Cable Corporation, The Penn Central Corporation, Great American Holding Company, Corporex Companies, Inc. and The Baldwin-United Corporation.

Jim is chairman of TriHealth Board and is a board member of Bethesda, Inc. He also serves on the Board of the Health Improvement Collaborative. He serves as trustee of the University of Cincinnati Foundation, The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Hoxworth Blood Center, The Childrens Home, The Cincinnati Zoo, the Research and Education Committee of Cincinnatis Children's Research Foundation, and the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board. Jim is also a trustee of Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, a member of The Cincinnati Business Committee and the Fine Arts Fund. Jim chaired the 2008 community-wide Fine Arts Fund Campaign.

Since 1975, Jim has touched nearly every aspect of the United Way organization, from planning to Leadership Giving, serving on multiple committees. He was United Way of Greater Cincinnatis first two-year chair of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. In 2004, Jim and his wife Vivian co-chaired the United Way campaign for the Greater Cincinnati Area, raising over $61 million dollars. This was the second time in United Way history that a couple chaired the campaign.

  • Jim schwab was president of xtek when i started working at the elmwood plant. Very nice man and way more down to earth than most who held such high positions.
