This is the final product of my six week adventure of building a 1/2 length bowling alley. Other than some minor tweeking to the string pinsetter, its done. 30 ft from foul line to head pin (normally 60 ft). 35 ft overall with the ball pit, gravity fed ball return, string pinsetter so I don't have to walk down there to reset, real synthetic Brunswick alley.
Freefall Candlepins or GTFO. Nice lane otherwise...

@SlashNguyen --- the pins have eye hooks and the strings have clamps (like a dog leash). So they can be easily removed to use regular freefalling pins (I can raise the strings high enough to be out of the way). I have a second set of pins without the eye hooks and I installed a sliding side door to make manual setting much easier :)

Behind the scenes video is now posted (with a couple others). Overall it took 6 weeks to build this from start (clearing out the space) to finish (final flooring added). Also the 6 weeks was nighttime work, not a full time all day adventure. Went fast and I did it myself. I think I spent more time waiting for the cordless drill/screwdriver to recharge than I did building this :)

Awesome job!! I like it! Can u show a video of the pinsetter in action from behind the scenes? I know that Brunswick synthetic lane is expensive!! Look forward to another video!

@sjt66 I'll get a vid behind the scenes of the pinsetter this week. Basically its 10 pulleys that lift them up. Each pin has an eye hook that clips onto the end of the string (also the clips swivel to allow rolling). They merge into a single string (you can see in front) that goes to the beginning of the lane to reset (through more pulleys).
