That was one reason why I didn't tell most of my friends!! People tend to think that just because you lose weight you will change as a person. Some people are just scared that you will change and not be the same "fat girl" you were before. For me this was a choice to save my life for my kids and not for a man or boys!! From others who have had the surgery I have learned that during this journey you will find out who your real friends are!! Good luck and Congrats on what's to come!!

i think ppl are always comfortable with their roles in any kind of relationship. It sounds like ur friends may be a little scared and te things they fear are the things they told they want u to be. When u r heavy u r not expected to b fast boy crazy or competition because u r the "fat chick" but that role will change. It is an adjustemtn for everyone around u. I received comments like o u aint gon leave me to be the fat one. LOL so they r a little scared. true friends will b there 4 ya

Good question, none of my friends have made any negative statement regarding food. I believe they know that you are going to change and continue to blossom as a person, there are some people who do change due to weight loss, not everyone. It sounds like they just needed some reassurance. The only thing i get from my best friend is dont get too small. I have always been larger than him since the 6th grade lol now i am 30 lbs away.

@NorthernSutherner LOL your friend can't take a little competition huh? Thank you for responding...I know you are right. I am bound to change a little because this surgery is life changing..HOWEVER my foundation if what it is :-)
