I have seen him perform in person in his own house. Quite believable. Except for the pictures with the current queen and the electronic clock in one of the bedrooms, the house is very 18th century as well.

Yes, I've always been aware of that. But it wouldn't do much good in presentational termsfor him to stand silently or sit at a desk and write while we watched, would it? ;-)
