a few people can hit a note for more than 20sec, but I'm sure no one can hold it with so much power, loud, vibrato ... greats singers if they could hit a powerfull note like that after 3 or 4 seconds will be out of breath.

Im convinced that when she shuts it down, we will have seen the last of performers like her. She's a dinosaur in the age of chick singers that are either CLUELESS about what to do with a microphone..OR they seem to need all kind of vocal enhancements to get them thru a song. When you stick a microphone in Patti's hand, she fills in the fuckin blanks. There's NO ONE like her, bottom line. I feel honored to have lived during the era that she sang in...

I remember watching this when it first aired. This is from "The Tonight Show." After this performance, both Johnny Carson & guest Buddy Hackett were in awe...and so was I.
