Anyway, I definitely morphed from depression and anxiety at trying to become someone I wasn't, settling into ED. I feel like now that I'm aware of and okay with being gay, I can finally start to work on the behaviors, so I'm continuing to recognize these links you're talking about and hoping to start to try to change them at long last. @Lukychrm42 I agree with you - I believe alot in recovery is about self acceptance and learning to become comfortable with who we are as people and then it seems to follow that we become more comfortable in our own skin. We are all a work in progress, keep going with making changes but be gentle with you my love xxx

I put off the dentist for about 8 years (I'm 28 now), and just last week went after a recommendation from my kind doctor. I was open with the dentist, who's also super nice, and was very relieved with her news. Although I've been purging multiple times per day for 4 years and at times previous, she found two tiny cavities, some minor wearing down, evidence of recurrent trauma to soft tissues and of course glandular swelling, but my biggest probs are non-ED related. She was pleased, as am I. Yay
