On February 12th, 2005, Sister Dorothy Stang, a Catholic nun from
Dayton, Ohio, was shot six times and left to die on a muddy road in
the Brazilian Amazon. Who was this woman? Why was she killed? And
what will be done about it? The answers may hold the fate of the
rainforest itself.

Just Media presents "They Killed Sister Dorothy," a new feature-
length documentary following the incredible events in the wake of
Stang's murder in Brazil. Produced by Oscar-winner Nigel Noble and
narrated by Martin Sheen, "They Killed Sister Dorothy" captures the
battle and the thorny social realities behind tropical deforestation
and its solutions in this suspenseful and surprising film.

Sister Dorothy came to my school and talked to us about her work and what we could do to help others. She was a nice sweet old women who just wanted to help and she was so happy about her work.. They thought she was a devil for helping the peasent people in the amazon? She was an angel

and its a terrible thing that happened and it never should have happened.

  • @dedk0 The Amazon has 30% of all the world insect species and 19% of all the animal species in the world, it is deforest, 20 square miles a day..... reason enough.

  • I wonder why world care so much about Brazillian rainforest deforestation. They've put their forests down and we couldn't do nothing about it, now it's our time to develop our USD 17 trillions land. We should be sovereign in our lands.
