Gary Rossington is a founding member of the band & one of their guitarists. Ronnie Van Zant & Allen Collins did indeed write this song after Gary crashed his new car into an oak tree. There is no need for name calling & ugly language.

to whoever made this video tribute. Ive spent so much time trying to see every original Lynyrd Skynyrd band picture that exists. In this video you have a picture of Steve in the Studio that ive never seen. I have also never seen the one of steve allen gary and ronnie from the last concert in Greenville sc on 10-19-77. also the one with steve and artimus in concert and the one with ed king that i think is in the hell house. Please tell me where you found these 4 pictures. thanks man.
