on my 2000 F150 4.6L v8 Super cab, on the truck for about 9 months on this video. First without the tips, then with tips on, idling & revving up to about 2500 rpm.

  • why without the tips at first.....they do nothign for the sound waht so ever there for looks

  • @jcallesano I just wanted to see if they had any influence on the sound. Obviously they do not, you are correct they're just for looks.

  • Sounds like its gonna be mean, but didn't get that loud. I just got my 02 f150 exhuast completely redone and ended up putting gibson headers on it. Sounds Loud!

  • It doesn't get overly loud, maybe 1/3 as loud as your exhaust setup (I still have stock cats & headers). Does sound mean when it gets past 3000 rpm, raunchy-like. Now that the weather is warming up I can lower the windows and hear it better, usually just those awesome bassy notes inside the cab. I've set off about 5 car alarms so far with it, I think all on the same street, must be a sensitive alarm lol

  • ive got a Ram....It has a mopar cold air intake, Alot of people act like CAIs dont make alot of difference But I can definatly Tell a Difference at Mid range hp. I was wondering about the exhaust because i just ordered one, If I like it Im gonna get some ceramic headers as well.

  • Cool, I'm sure you'll like the exhaust.

  • @Envirotech the sound does change only for long tips but not short ones. Sound is based on bends and the muffler and pipe size

  • yeah man, that's awesome! Haven't set any alarms off yet, but I've only had the new exhaust on about a week.

  • I doubt it, but close to 40 at most has been added onto hp with all the mods, that's being really generous. A dyno would be cool to do but I don't have a stock number to compare to, from this truck at least. They're neat exhaust systems, really easy to install too! I like that not many people have it out the side like that.

  • Gains are 10-20 for hp and torque for the Super Truck exhaust. I did the "gotts airbox mod" for my f150 after the exhaust and that seemed to make it a bit louder actually. I guess if I went with a K&N filter it would flow more. Actually where I really noticed a big difference was my mileage. A 1 MPG difference after the exhaust. About .5 MPG after the Gotts mod. I also have E-fans so there's a little power not needed to spin a fan all the time.
