Starting price lowered. I am pleased to offer this new Contemporary Model guitar from Ricardo Louzao. Ricardo Louzao is a luthier and author from Argentina that builds unique contemporary guitars. As Louzao describes, this particular Contemporary Model is "the instrument that carry all my sleepless nights. On this model I can work with more freedom and creativity than the traditional models. Inspired by guitars built by Australian luthier Greg Smallman for guitarist John Williams, but with certain liberties and ideas for my own construction." Louzao's guitars have great volume and wide harmonic notes. His guitars allow the player dynamic control, noise reduction from right hand, emission and equal sustain all along the register of the instrument.
Soundboard: Red Cedar (Thuja Plicata)
Interior design: Balsa wood lattice bracing strengthened with carbon fiber (lattice-bracing) Peripheric frame.
Ribs and back: Laminated with Rosewood from Río and Rosewood from Bahía (Dalbergia Nigra)
the back has a crowning similar as cello, and lacks transversal braces.
Neck: Cedar (cedrella sp.) with ebony fretboards (diospyros). The neck is adjusted to the body in angle with an "allen" screw system that helps for a better set-up of the instrument. This system also permits the no existence of an external heel, so that makes en easy access to the left hand for playing high notes.
Frets: High Jim Dunlop 6105 type. This type of frets permits a more relax touch on the instrument, with less pressure and more precision on the left hand and generating more Legato.
Bridge: Rosewood from Río laminated on the center with ebony. Low weight, but very rigid.
Case: Semi-hard case
