Back in 1992 Warner Brothers spent a bundle producing this promotional video for the lead-off track on the Chills' album Soft Bomb. Presumably they did so to turn folks on to the band and sell copies of said album and the Male Monster From The Id single. I like the band and had the exact same intention when I dug up this old video and posted it here. So it seems a bit perverse that Warner Music Group would force me to mute the music in this clip, thereby disabling a commercial for their own product. Talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face.

The Chills never could catch a break...

  • Why the hell do record companies mute these things? It's retarded. The Chills are an underrated band IMO and it's too bad this little bit of promotion gets cut off by their own greedy twat record company. Get a clue WB!

  • Even Satan would want to hear this song.......WTF Warner!!!!

  • How come no one else has uploaded this? Will they just do the same again? If enough people kept constantly uploading it how could they police that??

  • Not sure what Warner Blowers think this accomplishes but fuck em.......

  • how mad, warners = wankers...

  • Warners you are unhinged and damaged. You dont own the Chills. Music does. Get fucked.

  • The Video right before this one is the ending of XTC's "The Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead". In fact this also from the 8/9/92 broadcast of MTV's 120 minutes.
