In 2004, inspired by Edvard Grieg's 'the Last Spring' - which is the saddest piece in a major key I've ever heard- I decided to try my hand at something not completely major nor minor.
About two days into the process, I recalled that my mother had always said that funerals are supposed to be a celebration of a person's life, even though they are usually sad- thus it was that I named my new string quartet.
Some friends recorded this for me as a surprise.
Disclaimer- I DO NOT OWN the mountains or trees or bird or anything that I photographed.
