Raytek MiniTemp MT6 Infrared Thermometer review. This is exactly the same product as the Fluke 62 with the exception of a different color plastic.

  • Hi!

I'm looking for a distance thermometer (low cost) to track human body temperature from some meters of distance, 10 meters or so, do you think this infrared thermometer could make the job? Thank you.

  • @sakikawa No, this will not work for that purpose because the thermometer senses a cone in front of the sensor and it would take a person 1 meter across at 10 meters so that you don't get the background. It might work from 1 meter if you have access to bare skin.

  • would you recommend this thermometer over others like it?

  • @WorkingManStudios This is the only quality IR thermometer that I have used. If all you need is temperature from normal surfaces, then this is perfect. The next step up is to get one with an adjustable emissivity setting.

  • I have one that doesn't keep the max temp. I must have an older model. I measured my cigarette at 480 F.

  • is there a thermo device that can "read" objects under the floors, inside walls (cables) etc?

  • @Begbucks

Then you need to have your brain removed, because you don't deserve it.

  • @ScalesandGills Relax, my comment was for, not against even though my direction was tweaked.;)

I have full faith in Vampires as well as the spirit planes.

  • @Begbucks

How would you know if Vampires don't exist?

Don't throw around unfalsifiable hypothesizes trying to look smart.

  • @oisiaa

Ok! I thought so. Thank you! ..So I need to find another way to locate a person in front of a sensor.. if you have some good ideas feel free to write me!! ;)

  • You need to run your Air conditioner, man.
