Sixteen Candles, The Killers' "On Top". Cut 2008-01-01. Molly Ringwald is too cute in this movie. Joan Cusack plus Molly Ringwald plus me minus all sexual inhibitions equals YES. It makes perfect sense when you don't think about it. Call me ladies if you're not busy with your lives and all that. I was born a year after this movie came out and I'm way younger than you but um, I'm vibrant or something.
Anyway, it's Samantha Baker's birthday, her family forgot, she hates her small 16 year old sophomore boobs, and can't muster up the courage to talk to senior Jake Ryan at some high school dance.

Even though The Killers are recent, their music easily fits this movie and era. It could have easily been played at this dance. So can some of the other new-retro/ new-80s rock bands out there, but The Killers leads the way with their sound, mood and emotions.

Nope, but thanks for playing! lol. Sorry mate. It's as soon as they show the dance, everyone is dancing, DJ salutes the crowd, then Samantha walks in. It sounds like he's saying "Fi-leen" or Eileen but in the tune of Our House by Madness.
