@lxXMETALXxl your comment was posted 7 months ago so i don't know if i'm even helping you probably have already found your answer but I'll answer it anyway haha, neck thru guitars have more sustain normally but it is not really an issue with the emgs they sort of compensate for that so even with bolt on and tremolo you should have more than enough sustain to meet your needs

i fkn love that guitar

yea man, no joke this guitar kicks so much! I also play killswitch, and alot of other prog. metal as well, this guitar works perfect for it.

you dont need that sustain unless you are doing some bend stuff from fret+15. high output pickups ftw. btw i have pre-2006 version of this guitar which has +20 db afterburner. it is enough to double/triple your clean sound as well as thickening the lead/rhythm on drive channel so i dont have any 'lacking of sustain'

I don't know what an afterburner is, but it sounds awesome

that guitar is bolt on correct? do you think it affects its playability in anyway compared to a neck-thru? (if you've played one)

Yes, it's a bolt-on. I haven't played very many neck-thrus but I'm pretty sure that a neck-thru will have better sustain when compared to a bolt-on...other than that, I'm not too sure, you'll have to do some reading up on it...sorry I can't help too much, I'm just not too familiar with them
