The National Air Race Project is a Cleveland, Ohio based group founded by two pilots to further three goals: Preserving and perpetuating the rich history of early air racing,
Educating young adults and the general public to the significant aviation advancements achieved through
air racing, and
Honoring the courageous, pioneering participants of air racing.

The Story of the 1929-1949 National Air Races presents the first comprehensive, documentary film of the golden age of air racing...a fascinating and significant era in aviations rich history.

The 130 minute film utilizes well-researched, archival photographs, film and newsreel footage from around the country as well as private photo and film collections.much of which is being presented for the first time in this unique documentary film.

To create this documentary, they spent years researching, gathering, and editing thousands of striking photographs, and hours of thrilling, vintage newsreel and rarely-seen 16mm color film.
