Rick Wakeman Face To Face TV Show With Jon Lord:

Having been a key member of worldwide rock acts, Deep Purple, Whitesnake and applied his compositional flair and unique Hammond Organ sound on countless important recordings with the best of the best in rock, there is much to unleash in this interesting, yet witty and instinctive exchange between Face To Face host and fellow man of the ivories Rick Wakeman with his guest Jon Lord.

The ever observant Wakeman culls some of the more unknown and untold chapters of Jon Lords life with Deep Purple, who between 1968 and 1976, were one of the worlds most popular and creative bands. Jon delivers the pivitol adventures in his career with Purple; from the Hush effect (a track that hit top 5 in the U.S during 68) and Smoke On The Water (another chart sensation), right through to demystifying the internal politics of the group, who, albeit with shifting line-ups, including Lords sporadic afilliation in recent years, have contniued to tour arenas across the globe into the 21st Century.

Discover the intuiging and amusing tales of life before Purple, and beyond it too, as Jon reminisces his mid-60s escapades with Art (the older brother of Ronnie Wood) in the R&B outfit, The Artwoods, lovingly remembers the near death experiences of trugging up and down the dangerous A-roads of Britain, collaborating with his friends David Gilmour & George Harrison, whilst projecting his love for orchestrations and a solo career that constantly transports him to some of the most remarkable places in the world.

  • You said it! Rick Wakeman is a God, Jon Lord is a God. All we need is Tony Banks, Keith Emerson, and, bless his soul, Rick Wrights' ghost. Then it's a party!

  • Wooow ! Two giants of the rock keyboards face - face ...

  • Historical moment!
