well here's Portrait of Tracy, one of the most difficult tunes to replicate and one of the most beautiful to me.. should'a done it a long time ago. This was the first take I did and by no means is it my best performance of it (how often do you capture your best, anyway?) but it's pretty good for what it is. If I'd decided to do it a second time there would have probably been far more screw ups than the first.

and screw the last chord.. i substitute it with a C Maj 9b5

oh, and Jaco used a fretted in the original recording. a lot of people dont know that!

Squier VM Fretless JB through Peavey KB300 Keyboard amp captured by three room mics (will do direct input in a few days) into Behringer mixer

mixed with cool edit pro 2.1 and sony vegas 10
