Fernandes is the same guy who argues that UFOs are religious in nature, right...here:

Why does this guy appear to be such a lummox? He got his "PhD" from a mail order, non-accredited university. Surprise, surprise.

The more these Christian Apologists debate rational people, the more ashamed of their beliefs, and more so of their god, they must become.

@knk17forever Your definition is incorrect. In the case of evolution, and gravity, THEORY is used in its scientific form (something with which you are obviously unfamiliar). By this definition a THEORY "is an explanation or model based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning, especially one that has been tested and confirmed as a general principle helping to explain and predict natural phenomena." Theories are the best known explanation of phenomena.

@anibokil ...correction ...disorder increases

@knk17forever the ignorance, it burns! try to google "examples of speciation"- you'll find dozens of clear-cut examples. But please don't exert yourself trying to find information that will burst your little god bubble.

At 1:00:00 Phil asks Dan for empirical example of an explosion that results in more order. I think Dan's example was ok ... however for an example occuring in nature ... I wonder if stars would be a good example. They do convert Hydrogen into higher elements which I assume is more order. However, I do understand that the total order of the universe always increases.

@Drgamedood Evolution can only be a theory. A theory is any thing that can be studied or considered but cannot be demonstrated. Gravity is a science because it can be seen at work over and over again and can be demonstrated. If evolution is a science than I challenge any scientist to reproduce if from beginning to end over and over again. Watch Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan if a scientist can bring forth a planet like that and reproduce evolution on it; then it could be considered a science.

How unattatched form truth must you come, to actually let Mother Theresa serve as an example of goodness?

@exposedatheists Dinesh uses the exact same, inept cosmological argument as is presented here. practically verbatim.
what would these guys say if they were presented with the idea that the beginning of the universe came about through quantum tunneling?
they would have no answer and would instead change the subject because they have no real grasp of physics, they are just regurgitating the same old tired arguments that christian debaters pass between eachother, regardless of answers given.
fernandes is a copy act of dinesh.

@japonizieify Really? Last I read Dinesh is a theistic evolutionist, while Fernandes is a creationist. I don't see how they're alike at all.

@exposedatheists Well yes. I don't mean they are the same people with the same opinions. Just that parts of the debate sound awfully familiar to Dinesh's work. I'm not sure who copied who. I'm not quoting accurately but I know both have said this pretty much word for word.- "If I'm asked whether I believe in my brother, I say no. I know the guy!".

@japonizieify I don't hear Dinesh using the same arguments as Fernandes though. For instance, Fernandes uses the cosmological argument. I don't hear Dinesh using that argument much at all. Nor does dinesh use the resurrection of Jesus all that much either. Sorry, but they don't use the same arguments.
