This is a music video of still photos after our house burned. It includes photos from the day of the fire, more from a few days later, and the post-clean-up/pre-demolition shots. I own no rights to the music by Avril Lavigne.
No one was injured in the fire, but the house was a complete loss. We built a new home on the lot and it was completed January 2008.

  • the window's are really differnet

  • @ThirstySkunk910 Yeah, the old windows were original from the 1940's. The new ones are bigger and more energy-efficient.

  • The House on your Blog the house was nice but did the house look like that before the fire?

  • You can see what the old house looked like in the video here. Just imagine a roof on top of the brick. ;)

It looked a lot like the new house from the outside because it had the same steps, the same style (brick/stone/white siding), and the garage in the same place. Otherwise, they are completely different.

  • hey that is so sad i hope the family is ok and have sheltter

  • This happened in May of 2006, so it's been a couple of years. We were able to stay with some friends for a few days until we found a rental home nearby, and the house has since been rebuilt. You can read all about it on the house blog. See the video details for that link.

  • sorry for your loss, but a house can be rebuilt! Glad nobody was hurt!

  • @Ladanea oh, cool

  • There was just a fire on my street, just 5 houses down from ours...and the poor family was devastated. I was there to comfort them and their one dog ended up dying in it. :( I am so sad now and I sure do send you and all others who have to go through a tragedy like this lots of love and support. I can't imagine losing my house. I think you are strong people and a strong family and I wish you the best in the world!

I saw the new house btw and it is fab! :)
