as if matt cooke didn't have enough reasons for people to hate him now he just beat up beat up rob niedermayer. i love what cooke brings to the ice, but i think he's going to be a serious liability for the pens no matter how well he plays for us. he's become a complete distraction.

@PerogieBoy714 Niedermayer knew what he was getting into and I bet he'd do it again. And he should. You have to give it up for guys who don't fight and who are willing to challenge guys they know they probably won't beat, because that takes a lot more balls than the shit Cooke pulls.

@GhostWalker40 no he should not have. that was a major momentum changer, and the penguins lost to the devils (again) as a result. i know this is a meaningless regular season game or whatever, but it would be nice to beat this team just once so they don't have such a psychological edge over us in the playoffs (just in case we do meet).

@GhostWalker40 who cares what people think about cooke? the game was tied at that point, and cooke beat up their captain. cooke basically did the same thing to them that carcillo did to talbot in the playoffs last year. i think cooke is a great players, but he has become a major distraction in our title defense even if he doesn't intend to be.

@GhostWalker40 in this case he probably should've let it go or at least ease up. cooke is in a bad position right now. the refs & players all want to make an example out of him. he's played really well the past 2 games, yet he will always hold the team down because the other team will be able to o whatever they want to him without having to worry about gettingcalled for a penalty and he won't be allowed to do anything to the other team without getting something called.
