Harry Plotter, a Plott Hound, is the oddest dog around. He gambles with our Invisible Fence brand electric fence. He plays with it! He tests it, he challenges it to beep or shock him. He spends time during each of his days seeing if the fence is "on" and if it is, he challenges himself to see if he can make it beep and then escape before it shocks him. It is one of the oddest things I've ever seen and we were finally able to capture it on film. The dish puts out the Invisible Fence signal and he wears a receiver on a collar around his neck. The collar beeps when he is in the fence zone and gives him a short amount of time to leave the zone before being shocked. If he reacts quickly enough, he does not receive a shock. But if he doesn't leave the zone quickly enough, he does receive a mild shock. Apparently the shock is mild enough for him to consider it a game!
I too, have a 4 year old Plott. If I didn't know it, I'd swear this was my dog, Willie.
