Sunday the 17th September 2006 -- was the date for the much-awaited global launch of the just-a-minute campaign.

Wembley Arena (London, UK) was filled to capacity as people came together for a truly spectacular afternoon. Live music, performance, fascinating interactions and powerful experiences of minutes of silence touched many hearts and minds.

Millions more witnessed and took part via the live web cast, satellite TV in India and Thailand, and simultaneous j-a-m launch events that took place in over 80 countries.

At 4:25pm people in over a hundred countries took part in a one-minute silence to spread a wave of peace around the world.

The just-a-minute launch event is dedicated to the United Nations International Day of Peace.
