  • I wonder if the Thai people knows what the Nicholas Farrelly is talking about.

  • Thaksin had already put paid to the idealist notions that had come to infuse Thai democracy after the 1997 constitution by: buying in old style vote buying politicians to form his party; systematically undermining all the checks and balances of the constitution including, the Constitutional Court, the counter corruption commission, the electoral commission, the office of the auditor general; engaging in mega corruption; encouraging the police to murder over 2,000 people his "war on drugs".
