Obama "tax cuts": for those making under... WHAT NOW? (Fox)

Obama's tax cuts started out as being for those making under $250,000. Then he said $225,000. Then it was $200,000. Then his attack dog Biden said $150,000. Then his surrogate Governor Richardson said $120,000. Then his spokesman, on Fox News Channel, as pinned down by the clear thinking Stewart Varney (stepping in for Neil Cavuto), said she thinks it should actually be for those making under $45 or 50,000. And she said it's all unequivocally clear. You see, it all depends on what your definition of the word "middle class" is. @lionelubc No, they have not clue that their federal taxes went down. Most people actually think they went up. That's how stupid this country has become.

wow, people are so stupid. He said taxes will not go UP for families making $250k or less. Then he said taxes will go DOWN for those making under $200k. These are different statements. If your family makes between 200-250k your taxes stayed the same - they didn't go up. If your family made less than 200k your takes went down. Please tell me you people understand these statements.

THE RICH DO NOT PAY TAXES they pass down every cent that they are taxed to the middle and lower class'es raising the TAXES on the rich is just an easy way for the democrats to raise taxes on every single american. Everybody who has studied economics for just one semester can tell you that when your overhead goes up the price of your goods go up taxes are just an overhead to the rich that are passed down to the working class.

@CrowleysGhost Do you honestly think that when you raise taxes on the rich that they actualy pay it The rich have never and will never pay taxes The reason they dont really pay taxes is because they pass the cost of the taxes down to the consumer which is us. So when you riase taxes on the rich all your really doing is sending it down the latter to the middle and lower class The only thing that happens when taxes go up is the government gets more money to BLOW and the middle class shrinks

Tax cuts? The tax cuts occurred 10 years ago. There is no tax cuts now. It's a tax hike when you take more money away than you did some time ago. They want to steal more money & give it to someone else instead of allow the rich to hire and expand their business. Stupid libs will never know how to run a business and yet they want to run the country.

It's 250K for a couple, 200K for an individual. "Trickle down economics", cutting taxes on the rich, never worked, and it still doesn't work to raise standards of living for everyone else. In fact, it makes government debt and deficits, esp. in a time of war, even worse. Real wages for working people have remained essentially flat for the last forty years, while profits and productivity of businesses have gone up. What that means is that the average person works more and gets less.

I feel it wrong to take from the rich, they worked hard to get their money, most of them. And if i work someday to make a million dollars, and keep up my 4.0, i dont want people who slacked all around me saying i should be penalized for being a hard worker. And what people do not see taxes will go up for everyone, not just the rich, but the rich is who will pay, and really i would say 250K is not that much for two working parents. HEALTH CARE WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF THE POORS POCKET TOO!
