The modern day pharisees are also mainstream "christians" who accept x-mass and easter as Christian and who do away with Shabbat and God's dietary laws.

Good message, Alan! While in college, I had a Greek New Testament class. I posed this same question...why Greek? Why not Hebrew? Common sense!!! Good message clarifying a lot of confusion out there! Thank you...

@WatchAlan I agree with you here Alan... for most of the time of my adult life when ive had a feeling about certain parts of scripture and have gone to the bottom of it by checking old and even to my ability oldest possible scripture Yhwh has led me further on and narrowed my path even more. Yhwh reveals and guides and never ceases to as long as we seek.

@WatchAlan yes, and to pile onto what you said, relativism vs absolute truth. This video is another good example of how we can get caught up in searching for truth based on what we perceive to be a good reference of truth in this world vs where we know we need to be always aligning ourselves. We all have a tendency to fall into the horizontal view vs turning immediately to the vertical where we know the Source of Truth is fixed. :)

I honestly can't believe that we could have been reading mis-interpeted Gospels, Think about it, why would Yahweh allow us to have faulty gospels?
I'm not disagreeing with you, it's just scary to think, the possibility of getting it all wrong, almost like we were set up to fail.
This bothers me because I honestly believe the scriptures were written by Yahweh, penned by man, with zero errors, and yes in Hebrew.

@hvacpiper I believe He allows such things because He knows those who have a true heart for Him will search His Truth out and find it through His loving guidance. Darkness and confusion only effects those who are in love with the world.

@hvacpiper why is it "scary"? We've been in error since Adam, right! If it is reasonable for us to accept our transgressions and our inability to be perfect, than with the same reason we should accept our inability to accurately write down YHWH Word on paper. I think Alan hit it on the head when he said "search His Truth". The greatest commandment begins by telling us that He wants us all to continually search for Him with all of our hearts, minds, souls and strength.

@RonBozich Right!! If we search for His truth, He is Faithful and True to reveal it to us! But concerning those who search only for the doctrines of men ... and for the universally accepted "truths" of the world, only ... He will turn His back on them - because they love the world; not Him.
