There is no limit to who can wear the witch costume. There are little toddler witches, teen witches (twitches), sexy young thing witches and older witches. The witch costume can be found for every body size, from the small to the tall and to the plus size woman. But what should you look for when picking the right costume for you or your family?

Start with the Right Look.
Decide what the tone of the event will be: formal and dressy, casual and fun or active and energetic. You need to have an idea of how others at the party will be dressed as well and what you are going to be doing once you get there. Once you know what to wear you can find the right costume without a problem.

And then find the Right Accessories.
If you are going to wear your witch costume out trick or treating or doing other physically active things, you should limit the amount of additional accessories.
If your young children will be wearing the same costume, then make sure that you are limiting their accessories as well. Remember, everything that your
child starts out with at the beginning of the evening will be carried by you by the end of it.

Decide on the makeup.
A witch costume may look like nothing more than a black dress if you do not have the right make up on. You can go for a full face makeup or you can opt for only a few scary touches, but you have to do something.

No Ruby Slippers!
Finally, your witch costume cannot be considered complete without the right shoes- after all, they are the finishing touch. Black shoes or short booties are a good choice, but keep in mind that if you are going to be doing something active, stick to lower shoes for your own safety and comfort. And, for the love of all that is good and witchy, do not wear ruby slippers or you might end up on the business end of a dropped house.
