Gene Clark the former lead singer for the Byrds wrote a song about a man named Del Gato. He lived in my mind until Elmer Leonard brought him to life in The Tonto Woman.

Saw the director at Empire Movie-Con today. Seemed like a sweet guy, and his next film Harry Brown starring Michael Caine looks wicked. Wanna watch this short now.

Yes - I saw it on a compilation of the 2007 academy nominated short films and animated shorts(try checking your local library). The entire collection is great - I LOVED this movie!
