I know the story about Wrath-Amon's "birth", but I assumed that the "rules" (hitting by star metal gets you into the abyss) apply to him like to any other serpent man.

Wrathamon is not a serpent man,he was actually created by Ramamon who transformed him from a Gila monster,have a look at Bleeek79 `s videos he has put up the earlier episodes and one of them shows Wrathamons creation.

Interesting that Set is so powerful, but did not detect Mesmira, Ram-amon, or greywolf when they were close by. In a previous episode he sensed something when Conan went to get his venom in the future.
