@35mmpaintbrush There's no point in playing just the violin part and showing off. There's nothing to show off, have you listened to the violin part? You really want to hear simply the same pattern for just over two minutes? I sure don't.
As a string player myself I can tell you that the part he's playing is much more complex than the one the violin in the backtrack is playing.
