Wow, I have to admit, I was tense throughout the whole exchange between Nedda and Canio, it mad me feel like I was really watching the play. I love how emotional Pavorotti's expressions are. I can feel his distress and anger coming from the lyrics! It makes me want to go see this Opera!

Es un acto muy conmovedor, ojalá pudiese verlo en vivo algún dia, aunque no sea posible verlo ya con Carusso o Pavarotti

In most versions I have seen both on YouTube and live Tonio gives it to him. The last one I saw in Hamburger Staatsoper last month did it like that, too.

Nedda, trying again to continue the play, admits that she has been visited by the very innocent Arlecchino. Canio, furious and forgetting the play, demands the name of her lover. Nedda swears she will never tell him, and the crowd finally realizes they are not acting. Silvio begins to fight his way toward the stage. Canio stabs Nedda. As she dies she calls: "Help! Silvio!". Canio then stabs Silvio and declares: La Commedia è finita! - "The play is over!". (see Wikipedia)
