Henry VIII I Am

Very true. I am not even Catholic (I am Greek Orthodox), but I find the one sided criticisms leveled against the Catholic Church, and often only the Catholic Church, to be hypocritical and specious. Were there less than satisfactory Popes? Absolutely. Some bad rules and practices? Yes, though they were abolished with time. But this should not undermine the institution itself. We have had some arguably bad presidents, but does this mean we should drop the idea of a democratic republic?

@ligreekguy Just enjoy the song, dammit.
the English Church has definitely not been Protestant since - Henry the VIII's daughter, Mary, was a catholic who burned Protestants at the stake --- just sayin'

Yeah, I know. I always mean to edit the video, but lost all the old files...Henry officially broke the
Church of England off with the Roman Catholic Church in Rome and made himself the Head of the Church of England (as opposed to the Pope.) It was under his daughter Elizabeth's I reign that the common book of prayer was changed to show a more "reformed" church (hence protestant...)
