I think that your disc not your ps i have this happen in BO all the time but worse no textures load up and when they do it looks like its smudged or just alot of blue squares but R2 GoW3 Mw2 Mw1 bioshock 1&2 all work fine .

well the only way your ps3 could overheat is because you play too fucking much on it, ive had mine for about 3 years now and it has NEVER had problems - guide to prevent your ps3 from breaking down - dont play shit loads on it
