  • A good woman. I hope the morons in suits listen to her

  • @cidrosmith Sorry, but the US doesn't have the highest quality of life in the world. Try checking up the Human Development Index. And even if it has one of the highest, that still has nothing to do with social inequality. You may be living a comfortable life but what about those who live in the ghettos of East Harlem and th Bronx in NY? The ill-fated native Americans in reservation camps. Look around. Think. Use your brain. Not everyone in society benefits from US wealth.

  • yeah. piss off conservatives.

  • @usurynation That question was answered in her talk titled "Talk - Richard Wilkinson & Kate Pickett - Why Greater Equality Makes Societies Stronger ". The answer; racial diversity has ZERO impact on social well-being. A huge surprise to racists, I'm sure.

  • Its a shame she gives no credit to the people who realised this decades ago!! But all the same kudos to see another person who realises an egalitarian state is a better state

  • Kate did an excellent job describing the symptoms of the problem but she really is clueless what the cause of the problem is. You already have a politician in Britain that understands it... Daniel Hannan Conservative MEP.

    Here's a couple of Americans

  • 12.58, I recognize Dini, ex president of Italy, and from his expression, I can suppose two things

    1) he didn't understand nothing D:

    2) he was thinking which that datas are just consequence of economic situation, which are irrelevant for the Italians politician :p

  • .

This is important work. Thanks for sharing. For anyone who may be interested, the name of the book that contains some of these graphs is called "The Spirit Level"

  • hey maybe you can give that speech to one of the Rockefellers...... still spewing the global warming scam.

An admission that the rich get richer but still..... a more equal society is one that is willing to sacrifice?! take a hike lady!! silly mouthpiece for the rich...... i guess we kno why the rich keep getting richer..... weasel!!

  • I drive a 15 year old POS car and work as a clerk in a gas station to put myself through school. I have everything I need and enough of what I want.

  • So equality has always existed? How can something that has always been a part of societies be tearing it apart? How many students in Canada and Sweden are born to foreign-born parents? If the US system is so horrible, why do millions of people risk their lives to emigrate to this place? Can anyone dumb-down her claim for this ugly American? I'm too busy enjoying the highest quality of life in the world to understand what this woman is bitching about.
