Awesome singer, awesome song. "LaMoledet Shuvi Rani" is a "pizmon," a Hebrew/Jewish religious song written to an existing folk or popular song melody. The source melody, "Lamouni Li Gharou Meni" is actually a Tunisian song performed first by Hedi Jouini, I believe in the 1940s. Jews and Arabs (and Berbers, etc.) share so much culture!

@tabbyta1 The word "Sephardi" is really misleading. Jews from middle east and N Africa are all lumped into the "Sephardic" category. I think Mizrahi (Eastern) Jews would have been appropriate. Most of today's "Sephardic" Jews have nothing to do with Spain or Sefarad. Mizrahi Jews have had well established Jewish communities for thousands of years (because middle east is where it all began). And to dump all Mizrahi Jews into "Sephardic" block is just ridiculous

great music :D sadly I'm not Jewish :(

It sounds very nice. Most of my family were Sephardi Jews and other were Azkenazi Jews; I wish I can learn more of the traditions and language of my forefathers!
La mayoria de mi familia eran Judios Sefarditas y otros eran Judios Azkenazis; me gustaria aprender mas de las tradiciones y lenguaje de mis ancestros.
