The ATLANTA MUSIC SCENE - 1978 through 1983 - Punk/New Waves

This is a retrospect of the local bands i played the drums in during these years in Atlanta (Angelust, Poison) ...other local band names are listed on these display ads i saved and assembled for a scrapbook ....it was a great time rockin' at these venues and there are many memories that go with them...maybe you were at some of these shows, maybe you were in some of the bands too !!!.....look closely for the familiar names, some went on to great heights !!!
....always keep Rockin and Rollin and i welcome any and all comments on the "Atlanta Music Scene", pls check out 83/88 and 88/93....Rock On/Bruce Blick....and yes, i was in a band called "Poison" before they dragged the cat in....it was "nothing but a good time"....fooor sure !!!!!

Hey Poly, not familiar with Poison/78 at The Big Dipper and that song. Would that have been The Restraints w/REM opening !?!? - I do remember you guys VERY well...I recently played with The Mistakes/80 last year for their 30 year reunion show...we played "SlowDown" the way Chris would have done it and enjoyed...The Restraints RULED !!!

I remember a group of guys in '78 called "Poison" who played at the Big Dipper, I think--they were guys from Marist High School, and they had a song called, "I've Got Thumbtacks in My Underwear." Same group?
