The similarities from the Doom engine are not a surprise, considering Ken Silverman (the creator of this engine) asked John Carmack for advice on how to make his engine better.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a copy engine of Doom. There is a ton of stuff already the same and look alike.

ahhh ... reminds me of the good old doom days, just got my hands on ogre3D open source game engine, gonna try it out soon.
