The Forgiven Summit was a response to the aboriginal apology issued by Prime Minister Steven Harper two years ago. A group of First nations, Inuit and Metis motivated by faith gathered in Ottawa to sign the Charter of Freedom and Forgiveness, an official response to the apology.
