What to do about people who find your insecurities, and pick on you

We all know these people...They feel so badly about themselves that they have to pick on others to make themselves feel better. They will find what you feel insecure about and hone in. Here's how to handle these people and put them in their place.

Paseosinperro--I know what you mean, but a lot of those types are looking for a reaction from you. They want you to be upset, and so you are playing into their plan. But you're right, it does depend on the situation.

Aren't they insecure themselves or have low self esteem to say N do that to somebody? I'm a confident assertive dude and if I notice somebody feels insecure bout something I usually make em feel better or compliment them that it dosent look as bad they think I bring em up to my level. Some people only get to know a person and fake being a friend, to find out what weak spots can be exploited and then they proceed to manipulate, using this tactic. It is Very much a psycopathic trait! Trust No One!

Second by not responding, they feel that they don,t controle you. People will notice that this person uses negative behaviour to draw attention= portraying weakness.

I agree with what you are saying to a certain degree. But what if a specific person is very persistant and you really want to beat them down but know that you can't? There is a guy I know in school who who likes to steal my pens from my bag when I am not looking. I have caught him several times, and I honestly feel like using a meat cleaver on his hand lol I know he is trying to see how far he can push me, but I want to let him know I mean business.
