  • the vm1+Fab chorus part sounded great! I really wish youtube didn't compress recording so badly... makes it really hard to form much of an opinion on distortion demos..

  • This is very true.

The camera doesn't help either, sounds like a phaser when it moves around the room.

I'll try and get another vid up with the camera still the whole time to negate that, not much that can be done about the compression though.

  • No worries mate, wasn't criticisizing so much as lamenting, if you see what I mean. LOL More demos are always welcome though! My VM1 should be arriving in the next day or two. Maybe I'll see if I can dust off my web cam too..

  • No probs dude I didn't think you were :)

  • Nice clean sounds. OD sounds like a fuzzy mess/fuzz box.

Was that a pedal or the amp?

The amp have a drive section?

  • It is pedal drive for the most part. The amp is single channel with gain, tone and volume.

For the higher gain sounds you can see the settings on the amp have the gain up a little pushing the amp into overdrive and then running an OD pedal into it.

You should aslo bear in mind that the audio is recorded on a digital camera and the quality of your computer speakers will also affect the sound.

I find it is a very nice little amp that takes drive pedals quite well.

  • @michaelgroenewald7 it depends on what sound you are after, depending on your budget and what you want to play I'd probably look into the HT-5 or Marshall for the bigger speaker and more tone shaping options (the ht-5 has a full eq I believe, not sure about the marshall).

  • this or a blackstar ht-5 or marshal class 5?

  • @TheLedGuitarist nah I'd go the AC4, the bigger speaker will be of benefit.

  • would you recommend this amp over say vox ac4tv combo or laney cub 10

  • can you please make a video of some metallica songs because i wanna see if the fab chorus can handle the song Welcome Home (Sanatarium) by Metallica btw they dont have to be full covers i just want to hear the intro

  • lol @ not posting long vids

  • sounds like a good amp, just bought the kong, can't wait
