Devil's Dream by Adam RainStopper
Old song I recently redid, the original was poorly mixed and I used my Peavey Classic 30 combo amp in it's stock form with cheap tubes and a blue marvel speaker, which came out sounding pretty mediocre. I like the sound through my home-made pine and poplar cabinets much better, and overall this was a better recording. Been wanting to get this song up for a while.

  • Yeah I was looking at them then decided I might like one of those "FAT" Teles they have. They have a nice tone so I might work a little overtime and order one next month. You can never have too many Telecasters.

  • @w1av That's the spirit!!!

  • Hey Adam, I like it....great guitar tone as usual. Damn I wish I could sound this good!!!

Is that the Tele or Strat??? I worked all day on a song and very tired now!!!

  • @w1av Neither, it's a tele, but not the one I usually use. It's a more "vintage" style setup with a pine body and a pretty tame single-coil bridge pickup. I just found out there's a new squier "bullet tele HH". It's all black, body, pickguard, pickups, knobs, even the hardware is enameled black. It has a top-loader hardtail bridge and a pair of humbuckers. It's basswood like the bullet strat, and it's 120 bucks. I'm going to get one and replace the hums with surf-90's.

  • @AdamRainStopper OK Adam, it sure sounds good....I was going to buy one of those Xaviere semi hollow Tele's with the surf color and P90's but they don;t have any. I was ready to make the purchase online when I found out they're discontinued! Dammit! I have a Tele but I want another with a more vintage tone than what I have.

  • @w1av In the clearance section they have one of the "dream-180" models in sonic blue. You could also put in hum-sized P-90s if you don't like the dream-180's, but I know you will like them. They sound like a P90 without 60-cycle hum.
