For our buddy Gus. He's a hardworking cow dog (Border Collie)too. His whole world revolves around working the cows. No kidding. If he doesn't, he will come in the house sulking til the next day. Love him so much.

Wow! I am tickled pink to find this clip. I saw it on Sesame Street only one time when my son was little; he is 31 now. I must have been destined to eventually own a dog because I never forgot it. I was mighty lonesome after my son left home. But, then, I got my first dog and I was so happy, I got a second one! I'd sing this to myself while I waited for my two golden retrievers to bring back the toys I threw for them in the park, one happy owner and . . . TWO! hard workin' dogs.

I catch myself singing this tune every now and then and my teenage kids look at me like I've lost my mind! They are like where in the heck did you get that song? I tell ya, the younger generation just don't know what they missed back in the day..LOL

I saw this as a kid, about twenty...maybe twenty-five years ago, and never, ever forgot it. The song, the dog, the words, the herding...I sort of expected to cry when I finally saw it, because I'm a softy...but mostly I was just proud to have remembered it so clearly. What a hard workin' dog.
