Nothing is this simple. Get the people brushed up on micro bio, not simple 3rd grade craft projects.

check the newer comments. The solutiton is a dramatic override of pre-civ mentality towards education, science and management. Otherwise, we only teach them Christan Magic.

Still, there are creative ways to set up sanitation cheaply, but the education required to implement it such as basic micro biology would cost even more than the "simple solution". still, I would spend money to educate others of such basic sciences if it would give them a fighting chance of creating an independent civilization.

i'm sure these countries would have more sanitary ways of disposing waste but they simply can't afford it.

and 2/5's of the world is a hell of alot of people.
