Can't mommy get any time for herself?
We have started to wean the 7 week old babies from their mom - and it's not a moment too soon for Chloe!
As you can see here, Chloe's eight beautiful babies are doing splendidly - thanks to the support of Bideawee's generous donors! Keep the canned Friskies coming! :)
Because Chloe's name comes from a Greek word for "green shoot," her babies are named after other "green" words: Ivy, Sage, Willow, Jade, Malachite, Mossy, Chartreuse, and Olive. Chloe and her kittens should be ready for adoption in a couple of weeks.
In case you missed her story the first time around, here it is: Chloe was a homeless cat and very pregnant when we found her at a New York City municipal shelter. In the midst of kitten season, Chloe was a burden on an already-overloaded system. She and her soon-arriving family had no chance to make it unless she got rescued. Bideawee gave her that chance. The night she came to us, Chloe gave birth to her kittens. Chloe was in no condition, however, to care for delicate new lives that so badly needed her. She'd been on the streets too long and was severely malnourished. Feeding her little ones would sap all the strength she had. For this little family whose existence rests on the edge of a knife, Bideawee has become important. Chloe's kittens can hardly see, but they cry from hunger. Bideawee's staff not only feeds Chloe; we feed her kittens so that Chloe need not struggle alone to do so. And we worry, too, that Chloe's kittens will suffer fading kitten syndrome, a condition that happens in the first few weeks of life, where a kitten becomes weaker and weaker until the hour comes when they can no longer fight. So we fight for them. Chloe and her babies deserve relief from hunger and fear of dying. They and all cats and dogs like them deserve to grow and to bloom, and to find love and safety that make their lives better. They get their chance for these things because of supporters like you, who believe Bideawee helps fight to save pets whose lives hang in the balance. Please help today so that Chloe and her kittens will see better and brighter days.

It's baffling that you think we'd rather hear this stupid, gay-ass song instead of cute kitty noises.
