Scientologist believe that in our minds we have a wall (bank) between the physical reality and the spiritual reality/freedom.

They take you through an intense psychological journey to assertain if you are 'clear' (aware of the spiritual entity of the thetan being our consciousness/awareness/cognit ive/ect).

Then it's alot of money to get to spritual freedom from the body, astroplaining/telepathy/teleki esis, you know all the goodies of the supernatural.

Their aim is

To acheive NED for OT's lvl 8
(New Era Dienetics for Open Thetan's lvl 8)

is to be able to acheive total knowledge of everything and total freedom of the human body to travel anywhere and live for ever.

or

is to spend alot of money and be virtually or psychologically and intrinsicaly convinced that this is the path and end up like Shirley Mclean or Tom Cruise.
